Key Responsibilities:

• Proposal Development: Take charge of the entire proposal process from initial inquiry to project team transition. This includes:
  • Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Manager to provide technical-commercial insights and queries, identify optimal solutions, develop sales strategies, and support bidding activities.
  • Technical Proposal Crafting: Formulate a proposal execution plan, delegate tasks to engineers, monitor progress, ensure engineering solutions align with sales strategies, and prepare comprehensive technical proposals adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Engineering Liaison: Develop detailed technical solutions, produce necessary drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for accurate estimations.
  • Estimation Oversight: Collaborate with estimators, providing technical insights for pricing, and rigorously review the scope and technology offered.
  • Risk Evaluation: Jointly identify potential risks with the Sales and Contract Managers, evaluate their monetary impact, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Project Transition: Compile a detailed handover document highlighting key techno-commercial aspects of the project, conduct a handover meeting with the project team, and transfer the risk assessment documentation.

Competencies and Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in engineering, project management, or proposal development within the Iron and Steel industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy (BE/BTECH).
• Technical Knowledge: Proficient understanding of Coke Oven & By-product Plant processes and technologies.
• Proposal Expertise: Demonstrated experience in proposal preparation and a comprehensive understanding of multidisciplinary engineering and contracting activities in the heavy process industry.
