2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity in Anderson, SC!

Must have Progressive Die experience

Responsibilities Include:
• Studies machine and equipment blueprints and manuals and confers with the production department to resolve problems related to machine and equipment operation, repair, and maintenance.
• Assist in purchases, movement and installation of capital equipment
• Required to perform maintenance, installation, trouble-shooting, and repair activities and operate machine tools and equipment to meet operational deadlines.
• Creates and maintains Asset Files consisting of manuals, maintenance history, drawings, warranties and other pertinent documentation.
• Assumes responsibility for designated special projects
• Coordinates and negotiates contracts with 3rd party contractors and vendors required to perform activities related to the facility and production operations, which may include equipment or service required for any/all departments
• Orders materials, tools and equipment required for maintaining and improving operation
• Sets, conducts, and tracks preventative maintenance activities for maintenance department personnel
• Determines weekly schedule for maintenance crew based on workload
• Verifies and approves labor records
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
• Must be willing to be a “hands-on” and help on repairs, installations, etc.
• Ability to minimize use of outside contractors, by maximizing in house knowledge and skill to take on repairs and upgrades
• Other similar duties, as required by management

Requirements Include:
• High School Diploma and 5+ Years of related supervisory experience (required)
• Ability to interpret and comprehend safety, operations, and maintenance documents and procedures, manufacturers’ technical materials.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Demonstrated mechanical and electrical skills
• Ability to move up to 35 pounds and work with little or no supervision
• Ability to obtain an industrial powered lift truck and an overhead crane license
• General knowledge of various metal stamping equipment is strongly preferred
