Job Title: General Foreman
Location: Mooresboro, NC (borders Chesnee, SC)
Schedule: rotating days/nights
Status of hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried plus bonus
Compensation: $70-75k plus up to 10% bonus annually
Work Schedule: 12 hour rotating days/nights
Industry: industrial manufacturing; metals / metal reclamation facility
Direct Reports: 4-5 Operations Supervisors, up to 30 indirect reports
Responsibilities Include:
• Travel to Spain or Italy once for a week or two within a few months of starting for training
• Hire, Train, Motivate, Coach and Terminate employees when required
• 4 - 5 direct reports and approximately 30 indirect reports
• Assign, supervise, and review the work of crew for designated work area
• Implement production plans according to approved schedule
• Inspect and evaluate work progress, identify problems, and direct remedial action
• Prioritize staff, materials, and equipment to accomplish daily task
• Ensures that operational PM’s are completed per schedule
• Coordinate with maintenance to complete work request
• Train employees on process and safety procedures and maintain safety data for crew
• Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and as needed respirator, protective clothing and gloves
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs multiple times per shift.
• Perform other duties as required
Requirements Include:
• Associates Degree along with five to ten years’ experience as a lead or supervisor in an industrial or heavy industrial environment required
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred along with a history of leadership of an effective team
• Must be able to obtain a passport to travel to either Spain or Italy for training for a couple weeks within a few months of starting.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
• Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, methods, process, and procedures.
• Skilled in following safety and environmental practices and recognizing hazards.
• Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship.
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check to be eligible for hire.
**Local candidates preferred, though some relocation assistance may be offered.
