Our Partner, a manufacturer of cryogenic equipment, is looking for a Procurement Administrator/ Expeditor. This is a fantastic opportunity to help coordinate the flow of supplier performance information to key users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform key purchasing duties including bid tab creation, update ASL lists, maintain PO / proposal folders, supplier setup, and maintaining supplier quality reports.
• Effectively use JD Edwards (E-1) to create, process, and maintain Purchase Orders and run key supplier performance reports.
• Effectively interact / communicate with personnel and suppliers regarding order status.
• Expedite orders with suppliers to maintain on-time delivery.
• Request information and complete necessary forms to provide Corporate accounting with documentation and request set-up of new suppliers.
• Assist in receiving PO lines into JD Edwards, as requested by Buyers or Procurement Manager.
• Document and advise project manager(s) of critical changes in orders status.
• Issue purchase order addendums to reflect changes on purchase orders.
• Maintain and generate key performance reports using DAS.
• Maintain / Update supplier documents tracking system and/or filing system.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• 2 – 5 years of experience in a purchasing and/or accounting organization.
• Must possess excellent communication skills and good math skills in order to effectively interact with personnel and suppliers.
• Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and be able to create and interpret key reports.
• Knowledge of steel and material specifications a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience using JD Edwards MRP system or equivalent business system(s).
