• B.S. Engineering degree (preferably Chemical or Mechanical).
• 2 – 3 years Engineering experience in a chemical or manufacturing facility is preferred but not required.
• Ability to interpret P&ID’s and possess knowledge of process engineering basics.
• Prior experience with tank vents and flame arresters including applicable standards such as API 2000, NFPA 69, etc. is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office business software required.
• Experience with ERP software is preferred but full training would be provided.
• This position has potential for progression to an external sales role, Regional Sales Manager
Job Description:
The Application Engineer will support the Regional Sales Managers by determining appropriate products per customer specific requirements and creates quotations based on those requirements. Direct communication to the outside sales force and customers.
Duties:
• The Employee shall interact with assigned key accounts, establish excellent relationships, and manage sales activity for the product lines
• The Employee shall work on key account related statistics and develop these
• The Employee shall work on quotes and supporting documentation and do follow up with customers and after sales communication
• Domestic and international periodic travel maybe required to support sales, perform customer site assessments, attend trade shows, and undertake greater depth training.
• The Employee shall act as a Project Manager on engineering bid packages/orders. Oversee the project from the beginning to end ensuring customer satisfaction with product, product quality, delivery time, supporting documentation, etc.
• The Employee shall communicate with all departments and subsidiaries for best customer support (technical and commercial)
• The Employee shall support Inventory Management especially for Key Accounts but also for other customers
• The Employee shall provide technical/commercial support to regional managers/representatives
• The Employee must become familiar with all relevant Safety and Design standards, i.e., ISO 28300, API 2000, API 2521, NFPA 68, 69, 30 and 497
• Other duties may be assigned
