Site Safety and Health Officer

Our Partner, a provider of heavy civil construction services, is looking for a Site Safety and Health Officer in the Fort Bragg Fayetteville, North Carolina area. Fort Bragg, North Carolina, is a military installation of the United States Army and is one of the largest military installations in the world, with around 57,000 military personnel. The current project consists of civil, electrical and mechanical construction work on the renovation of a facility at Ft. Bragg. This role will be 60% to 70% self-performed with craft labor. The SSHO will manage all aspects of the health and safety program in the day to day performance of construction activities.

Qualification Requirements:

• 5 years of safety construction experience
• PC-based computing experience (MS Word, Excel, Power Point) essential
• Strong oral and written communication
• Ability to communicate safety guidance with entire project construction team
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Superior organizational skills
• Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment essential
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple detail-oriented tasks.
• OSHA 30 certified with CSP, ASP, OHST, and CHST considered a strong asset
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to perform and maintain all job specific safety and health training
• Proof of citizenship will be required as a condition of employment.
