2nd Shift Paint Shop Supervisor
Location: Chattanooga TN 37421
Industry: automotive parts manufacturing
Status: full-time, direct hire, salaried + overtime
Objective: To ensure that paint line associates have everything needed to perform all aspects of their jobs safely and properly in an automotive parts manufacturing environment.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Monitor work environment and employee actions to ensure safe working conditions
• Monitor Associates to ensure they are following current Work Instructions and develop/modify WIs as required.
• Schedule all employees as required to keep costs minimum and still support production needs.
• Monitor production schedule to ensure that parts are available from Injection and ready for painting and that assembly has parts needed for paint
• Enter production schedule into the Paint Supervision.
• Monitoring part quality
• Assisting Associates with issues that prevent them from performing their job properly
• Relief Operator or Shift Manager in emergencies
• Provide direction / assign task to operators
• Report any safety or performance issues and complete reports and investigation.
• Maintain 5S standards in area of responsibility.
• Maintain the paint storage and mix room activities.
• Keep track of Paint inventory and report as assigned.
• Ensure all associates and reports are trained properly and ensure consistent and fair accountability.
• Maintain KPI and communication boards.
• Perform all assigned or required activities to support the company objectives and business needs.
• Perform root cause analysis and recurrence prevention of failures related to quality and performance of associates.
• Support technicians as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Upon successful completion of applicable Hazardous Materials Training, may be required to handle and/or transport hazardous materials and chemicals.
• Munsell color testing
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good Organizational Skills
• Automotive Manufacturing Experience - plastics and paint in particular
• Computer skills (Microsoft office)

**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship.
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
