We are currently recruiting for a major Utility company in the Offshore Wind Farm industry. They are looking for a Contracts Engineer with Logistics experience to work on a major Offshore Wind Farm project.

This is a long term freelance/contract position based in their Corporate offices in Hamburg

Role:

To provide consultancy support to the Logistics & Construction Manager in the delivery of the design, negotiations and management of all logistics and offshore construction contracts.

The assignment includes support in particular for the following project-specific tasks:

• Support managing 50-100m€ offshore wind construction, lump sum fixed price contracts
• Coordination of all contractual issues with the Contractors (Variation Orders, Payment processes, changes, claims, others)
• Participate in monthly progress meetings in order to make sure all contractual topics are covered
• Compile all kind of letters for relevant communication according to contracts
• Assess and manage contractual risks and develop anti claim strategies
• Maintain the due date calendar and inform the team about milestones and due dates (commitments and obligations under the relevant contracts)
• Very close collaboration with Procurement and Legal
• Participate in tender compilations and negotiations

Job requirements:

• Relevant experiences in managing contracts under German Law
• Experienced in claims management
• Experienced with BIMCO, FIDIC, BGB
• Good knowledge in offshore wind
• Technical and legal background
• Excellent skills of written and spoken German and English language
