Performs general maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, advanced problem solving, and/or repair on all site Critical Systems including Emergency Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), Electrical Substations/Distribution/Circuit Breakers, Batteries, and Fuel Oil Systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following
Perform advanced problem solving/repair and maintenance of the following Critical and Non-Critical equipment: Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), Emergency Generators, Fuel Oil Systems, Batteries, Circuit Breakers, Substations, Motor Control Centers, Computer Room Air Conditioning Units, Lighting and Alarm/Control Circuits.
Performs basic generator maintenance including test runs per established schedule
Performs maintenance on batteries including UPS, station batteries, generator batteries, etc.
Performs infrared scanning of electrical and mechanical systems per established schedule and as part of troubleshooting activities
Participates in project related activities including load testing and equipment commissioning.
Perform other general electrical and maintenance related duties as required.
Perform work on energized and de-energized AC and DC electrical circuits up to and including 13,200 VAC.
Takes a leadership role on assigned tasks.
Ability to understand system operation and logically develop solutions during upset conditions.
Assists with the coordination of manpower, materials, schedule, and occasional Supervision of large or special projects related to computer-related Raised Floors with minimal supervision.
Work overtime (both scheduled and emergency) after-hours (early morning or late night) weekends, and Holidays as required.
Participates in on-call rotation and associated responsibilities.
Complies with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 4+ years hands-on experience as a HVAC, Electrical Facilities Operations Technician.
In-depth knowledge of the back-up infrastructure of a critical environment (e.g., UPS systems, Chillers, STS's, PDU's, ATS's Generators, CRAC units, etc.)
At least 6 years combined experience working and supporting a critical facility (e.g., data centers, computer rooms, power plants, hospitals, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical/electrical equipment and tools.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- Appropriate communication skills (verbal, written and listening).
- Electronic skills helpful.
- Ability to interface with internal/external customers.
- Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends and various shifts to support business
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications.
- Tabware (CMMS) experience a plus.
- Ability to perform Building Management System Console operations (BMS)
Other duties as may be assigned at the discretion of management.

? Must be able to work a 12-hour night shift schedule.
? Ability to complete heavy physical labor (pushing, pulling, lifting objects up to 50 lbs.)
? Be capable of climbing/descending vertical ladders up to 50 feet in height.
? Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
