We are currently seeking an Electrical Superintendent for an opportunity within our client's team of experienced professionals. This a contract to direct position, based in Orange County, CA.
Summary of position:
The Field Superintendent oversees on-site construction activities and is responsible for monitoring, documentation, inspection and surveillance of the construction activities being performed, as well as escalation of concerns and issues. Interfaces with construction contractors, inspection authorities, design engineers, clients, and other consultants.
? Explain construction schedules, plans, activities to clients. Respond to client questions and issues. Build client relationship.
? Coordinate with clients and contractors to schedule activities on construction sites.
? Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, company quality and aesthetic guidelines, and other regulations.
? Participate in contractor selection, and monitor contractors who complete specific pieces of the project, such as structural, electrical, ADA.
? Confer with supervisory personnel, site facilities staff, general contractors, project engineers and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
? Investigate and document damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out, as needed.
? Manage replies to RFIs/Submittals among project team
? Attend scheduled construction meetings; prepare accurate meeting minutes as required.
? Take weekly and periodic photographs of sites and file electronically per company processes.
? Coordinate with project inspectors for site inspections.
? Coordinate with utility for electrical interconnection and inspection.
Requirements / Must haves:
? Significant electrical construction experience, e.g., General Journeyman Electrician certification and/or 8+ years of field construction management.
? Solar construction management, school construction, ADA project experience preferred.
? Proven client relationship management skills
? Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrable success of working well in teams
? Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
? Ability to pass California Department of Justice background check
