Due to our growth we have an opening for an Environmental Specialist - Air Compliance.

Job Requirements:
• Applies environmental regulatory knowledge and experience to develop effective strategies and solutions to the current and future technical and regulatory issues facing the Company
• Monitors state and federal regulatory developments (proposed and promulgated rule making, notices, etc.), trends (regulatory and intra company), and assess impacts of applicable regulatory requirements
• Acts as the expert in one or more areas of environmental management
• Develops, implements and manages compliance tools and/or remediation strategies
• Manages environmental projects that may involve additional professional level contract employees or consultants, and manages projects that may include field crews and related field activities
• Develops training materials, interfaces with Training Department and trains site personnel as required
• Builds and maintains good working relationships with regulatory agencies
• Represents the company in trade association
• Lead/or participate in site audits and other company initiative audits
• Lead/or participate in incident investigations
Experience/Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related technical field
• 8+ years of related environmental experience
• 5+ years of environmental experience within the chemical and/or refining industry preferred
• Extensive experience with Title V air compliance and permitting
• Regulatory knowledge of NESHAPS, BWON, BMACT, MON, and HON preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Effective interpersonal skills dealing with all levels of personnel
Important to Know:
• Some travel may be required
• Background check and drug screen is required
