Job Title: Human Resources Business Support Manager
Geographical Area: Pietermaritzburg

Purpose of the position:
The incumbent will be required to lead and manage the HR Business Support function so as to provide an efficient and effective HR service to the Forestry operation.

•B Degree Human Sciences or equivalent. Post graduate qualification in relevant field
•No less than 5 years experience in an HR generalist position at a similar level
•Experience in Forestry/agribusiness environment will be advantageous
•Effective execution of end-to-end HR Business support in the Forestry operations
•Ensuring legal and organisational compliance in all HR processes
•Liaison with external stakeholders
•Counselling and advising line on HR matters
•Consulting across all levels in the organisation
•Budgeting and cost management
•Trend analysis and dip stick surveys
•A valid Driver's licence
•Willingness to travel

•Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
•Good business acumen
•Sound knowledge of HR as a profession
•Computer literacy
•Knowledge of SAP HR system will be an advantage
•Conflict management and negotiations skills
•Group dynamics and team player
•Customer focused.

Key Performance Areas:
•Providing leadership, support and direction to the HR Business Support team
•Maintaining accurate HR records (paper and electronic) and managing HR data integrity
•Effectively managing employee relations, including case management and relationship management with stakeholders
•Effective people planning and processes to attract, retain and develop talent
•Remuneration, benefits and corporate governance management, including the sections HR budget
•Business analysis and optimization using HR metrics and systems
