HR/IR Technician (Bilingual)40-60 Month Contract$18-$21/hrRiverdale Park, MDJob Description• The HR/IR Tech responsible for coordinating HR/IR activities including recruitment, on boarding, training, ADP payroll processing, employee relations, safety and terminations• Report and provide support to the HR/IR Manager• Knowledge of state and federal laws, codes and regulations concerning human resources administration, such as labor laws, FLSA, EEOC, ADA, Workers Comp, FMLA• Assist with coordinating recruitment efforts including creating job postings, screening candidates, conducting reference checks and assist extending job offers• Process new hires and employee set up and access into ADP systems • Create and maintain employee and/or subcontractor records (electronic and hard copy files)• Responsible for making sure I-9's and E-verify are processed and completed in the appropriate time, as well as maintenance of these personnel records• Process Human Resource documents • Assist with new hire orientation, providing information about benefits, procedures and policies • Assist with onsite Davis Bacon inter interviews and report findings • Assist HR Manager with Job Center activitiesAssist with performance management process • Assist with documentation for disciplinary procedures, as well document and verify that actions are taken according to company policy• Assist with communicating and answering basic customer queries related to HR procedures, policies and guidelines• Assist with organizing and schedule meetings, activities, events, and training sessions• Assist with completing exit interviews, prepare employee separation papers, request termination/resignation checks per state requirements, and notify appropriate departments • Responsible for responding to unemployment claims • Adhere to and support the Project's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies• Maintain Labor Law posting• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality• Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications• High school diploma with 2-3 years of construction project related experience. • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish in an engaging and professional manner• Ability to read and interpret documents such as job descriptions, employee communications and routine reports• Experience with MS Office Suite and software programs used for payroll and human resources (HRIS)• Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision• Ability to maintain, handle and preserve sensitive and confidential information• Highly motivated and professional individual
