Our Client, a large and successful Manufacturing Company located in Italy, is looking for an HR Advisor to work in their new Brownsville, Texas location.
We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking, self-motivated Human Resources Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for planning and administering policies relating to all phases of human resources activity.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
• Recruits, interviews and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
• Maintains payroll spreadsheet for non-exempt employees earning commissions.
• Reviews payroll
• Maintains records of benefits plans participation such as insurance, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
• Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
• Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
• Works with brokers to maintain competitive benefit programs
• Coordinates annual open enrollment meetings.
• Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
• Prepares budget of human resources operations.
• Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.
• Prepares severance agreements for separations.
• Facilitates employee separations.
• Plans and coordinates company events.
• Updates and maintains employee headcount and organizational chart.

• At least 7 years of strong hands on experience within a fast paced Human Resources department
• The ability to multi-task with a flexible and positive attitude.
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Human Resources Management Certificate and / or PHR preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
