Job Title: 1st Shift Junior Material Planner
Location: North Charleston/Ladson, SC 29456
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried
Compensation: $45-50k depending on experience
Industry: automotive manufacturing, automotive parts and components
SUMMARY:
To help production manager to set & monitor the daily production plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitor automotive part orders to define/determine material requirements and prioritization
• Communicate material needs from line to planning and purchasing teams
• Work with Logistics to determine if there are material shortages and identify which orders are impacted
• Data entry as required
• Print picklists and/or bills of materials & create shipping labels for pre-series or special build projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Must have the ability to be trained and perform transactions in SAP
• Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree preferred with 1+ year (internship and/or co-op) of progressive material planning or purchasing experience in a production/automotive manufacturing environment
• Experience with/exposure to SAP

**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship.
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
**Local candidates will be given priority consideration; no relocation available at this time
