A. Duties and Responsibilities:
¨ Ability to lead a team of manufacturing technicians on an assigned line.
¨ Ability to consistently perform job specific tasks in a safe manner and to identify unsafe practices and/or environments and make recommendations to correct.
¨ Confront all unsafe behavior (promote safety through listen-up / speak-up for safety initiatives).
¨ Ensures compliance to Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines including but not limited to gowning procedures and documentation practices.
¨ Organizes assigned work and makes the best use of time to complete each task.
¨ Participates in or leads audits to assure safety, compliance, & efficient line operations. Supports the maintenance of the site 5S program by ensuring all materials are in the appropriate locations, cabinets are neatly organized and maintained.
¨ Participates in Kaizen or other improvement teams as assigned.
¨ Ability to perform required documentation, calculations, order closeouts, and any other written types of communication. Produces concise, readable, and accurate written communications in a timely manner.
¨ Lead tooling changeovers and process set up to ensure efficiency.
¨ Assure timely completion of all line administrative functions (close folders, report labor, goods issues, receipts, credit returns, SAP transactions, kanban reconciliation, incoming material, and performance data system input (as applicable).
¨ Material Movement-
o Retrieve raw materials from warehouse location
o Deliver finished goods to warehouse
o Credit Return materials
¨ Performs assigned tasks related to Cleaning Schedules and PM related cleaning
¨ Performs testing and inspection activities to support the Manufacturing Record for products produced on assigned line.

¨ Responsible for ensuring that crews conduct timely work center inspections (perform / facilitate monthly completion - daily housekeeping, safety checks etc.).
¨ Assure completion of all feasible safety corrective action plans from audit results (follow-up on action items).
¨ Identify problems; accurately recommend or implement effective solutions in a timely manner; document corrective actions and results.
¨ Monitor and report tooling life cycle as well as any damages to the Tooling.
¨ Lead and direct tooling changeover and set up process to assure efficiency.
¨ Lead corrective and preventative maintenance on the line as assigned.
¨ Monitor line to assure crew relocation after 15 minutes of continuous downtime (promote operating efficiency to reduce indirect costs) in accordance with SOP.
¨ Perform autonomous maintenance (checks and inspections) in order to assure chronic/re-occurring issues are addressed during PM's.
¨ Resolve any new or reoccurring issues on the line by evaluating, troubleshooting and correcting minor mechanical issues.
¨ Monitor line at shift start in order to limit 1st hour downtime (assist with problem identification & corrections to improve 1st hour start uptime).
¨ Facilitate line operation through breaks where possible to maximize run time (must be work center knowledgeable to maintain line operations).
¨ Assure timely disposition of non-conforming materials using standard process whether materials are in or out of specification. This should be done in conjunction with Supervisor facilitation.
¨ Assure material reconciliation comes in to standard. Ensure that any reconciliation issues are communicated to appropriate parties.
¨ Facilitate material flow “incoming to the process” (ID/Verify).
¨ Facilitate material flow “out of the process” (credit return/WIP).
