Our client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions for a large range of industries is seeking a Project Optimization Analyst to join their team.

This is a critical new role required to support the Engineering Cycle Time reduction initiative.
This individual will assume management and analytics support of the new demand and capacity tools and processes.

Responsibilities include:

• The analyst assists project management efforts by developing and facilitating processes, governance cadence and tools designed to increase effectiveness and overall project on time completion.
• Act as ‘the bridge' between visionary stakeholders and the teams to build first class capabilities. Use analytics, reports and presentations to identify key drivers, variances, trends and comparisons to support senior management's decision-making.
• Key responsibilities include hands-on data collection and analysis, design and execution of custom analytics, development/ownership of KPI status reports, creating and maintaining complex forecasting models to project and ensure appropriate capacity planning, preparation of gate review financials & required documents, and tracking of development budget costs; work with Continuous Improvement Specialists to review and improve business processes

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of NPI stage gate process, program governance philosophy and practices and engineering development planning and scheduling, financial accounting and operational metrics that drive Artesyn engineering development financials
• Basic knowledge of other functions related to engineering, including sales/marketing, supply chain and factory operations
• Ability to work with business owners to understand their needs and translate these business needs into requirements.
• Ability to develop rapport, trust, and positive working relationships within and across functions. Ability to coordinate cross functional individuals by promoting teamwork, delegating tasks, resolving conflict, reducing organizational barriers to cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to create communication plans, risk matrices, status reports, briefings, etc. and track progress to plan and escalate concerns/issues in a timely manner.
• Able to proactively identify changes in project scope, schedule or budget as a result of schedule changes, issues, risks and change requests and assist in devising contingency plans to mitigate impacts
• Demonstrated analytical and communication skills. Designing and building reports in MS Excel, Tableau or using similar tools
• Basic ability to apply Lean Six Sigma or other improvement tools for optimizing processes is a plus

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2~3 years relevant work experience in business, engineering, planning, business analytics or a related field
