Stakeholder Management:
• To ensure that stakeholders are well informed at all times and to establish a free flow of information
• Produce Project Plan to Business Unit Manager
• Prepare monthly report on Project Performance
• Manage and maintain relationships through regular contact with Director Sub stations, Business Unit Manager, Project Accountant, Fellow Project Engineers, Tender Administrators, Site Staff, Shared Services, Design Office, Automation, Customers and Suppliers
Project Management - Planning & Design:
To ensure that planning and progress of the project is accurately recorded, and accessible at all times
• Manage all aspects of multiple significant engineering projects from start to finish
• Development of a detailed Project Plan aligned to overall deliverables and Project life cycle:
o Participate in the project handover meeting
o Be conversant with all Contractual and Commercial Conditions of the Contract
o Manage the Design Process and organize relevant meetings
o Define the scope of projects and resulting implementation plans
o Create, maintain and utilize PCM to manage projects
o Define, in consultation with operational managers, the benefits, costs, key result areas and success criteria for defined projects
o Define project stages and the objectives and costs associated with each stage
o Create, maintain and utilize detailed project schedule, in order to complete project within budget and contractual delivery
o Identify resources required at each project stage to meet project objectives and negotiate the release of these resources with operational managers and effectively manage all Project resources
o Arrange and procure major and minor equipment (including secondary resources)
o Submit, approve and track order
o Arrange and conduct the handover meeting to site staff
o Arrange and secure transportation and /or shipping services
o Negotiate, secure and manage the services of Sub Contractors
• Manage FAT
• Tracking of Project Plan & adjusting of plan & approach accordingly when required
Project Management: Monitoring & Report:
• To ensure systematic and accurate project data systematically recorded and accessible at all times
• Monitor and report on project progress in a structured manner, drawing particular attention to deviations from the original project plan
• Monitor and report on financials relating to overall Project : Cash flow, Supplier Invoices, Customer Invoices, Debtors, Sureties Bonds, Guarantees
• Record and keep proceedings of each meeting and files systematically to ensure accessibility
• Maintain and update project plan
• Direct and control the project team to ensure that they achieve their objectives and that the best possible use is made of available resources
• Review all projects and modify performance measures as necessary
• Manage FAT
• Monitor progress on duties related to the project
Project Tenders:
• To ensure the tender process is followed according to policies and procedures and to provide a support function to Senior Project Engineer
Responsible for
• The overall tendering process for large tenders
• Assisting with the checking of small to medium tenders
• Preparing budget Estimates
• Tender Strategy
Risk Management:
To ensure adherence to all Project related Governance and Compliance Issues
• Ensure SHEQ compliance.
Plan around possible Project Risks:
• Provide sufficient Security on Site
• Arrange for necessary Transportation
• Arrange Shipping services / facilities
• Ensure Arrangement of Work Permits
• Arrange Insurance

Leadership
To ensure that Employees are well managed
• Monitor the well being of staff, facilities etc.
• Attract, develop and retain
