We are currently seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor for a position located in Edmonton, AB. Our client is a leading Engineering, procurement, and construction management company.

Duties:
- Experience in projects from the start, preparing estimates and costs of the work.
- Keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.
- Administer reconciliation between company measured quantities and submitted quantities and also unit price verification.
- Performing risk, value management and cost control.
- Providing advice on contractual claims.
- Development and administration of drawing measurement procedures and all material take-off's.
- Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.
- Create timely and accurate cost forecasts.
- Timely and accurate submission of quantity and unit costs as required by fiscal reporting calendar.
- Timely and accurate submission of client monthly reports as required in support of the Cost Lead.
- Development of trends, change orders & budget shifts in support of the Change Management Lead.
- Provide timely variance analysis and an early warning to management on cost variances to the approved baseline/forecast. Provide corrective action plans as required.
- Conduct cost forecast meetings and interface with, Construction Engineers/Superintendents, and management as required to develop and oversee development and maintenance of the cost forecasting process at a minimum of a monthly basis or as required.
- Managing the costs from the early design plans, through to the project's completion.
- Keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.

Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in similar role
- EPCM experience is a must
- Edmonton based
- Supporting educational background is an asset
