Our client, a global OEM, is seeking a Sales Manager to join their team and handle all turbo OEM sales activities and act as liaison between customers and production factories. Manage an OEM sales team and work with the Application Engineers and Quality Specialists. Assist the General Manager in directing activities within the department in alignment with company goals and objectives. The Sales Manager will also assist with the aftermarket turbo sales strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Create Sales Proposals for the customer.
•Communicate all customer requirements with regard to engineering, pricing, performance design, manufacturing and quality control to co-workers in Japan, Europe, and the US as appropriate. Communicate all company engineering reports, data, and inquiries to customers.
•Seek new business and maintain/expand current business Help create customer product strategy and tactics.
•Solve problems both internal and external relating to company and customers.
•Negotiate engineering and commercial solutions with customers. Facilitate future communication with customer and company
•Investigate the market prices and competitor's pricing for turbos. Help setting successful pricing for company parts to expand sales and profits.
•Understand the technical background about turbochargers, boosted engines and related technical information. Stay abreast of new developments for boosted gasoline and diesel engines at competitors.
•Maintain a list of active/open customer issues and keep the company informed as to current status of all projects. Prepare reports, maintain records, and organize files concerning company and customer's activities/engine information.
•Promote sales of products through meetings and presentations.
•Perform market research and customer visits to locate and identify potential new business.
•Forecast future turbo sales and propose sales targets
•Monitor and follow approved budgets, policies, and procedures
•Review activities and results of your staff.
•Travel domestically and internationally to customers and manufacturing sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Complete work assignments within allotted time frame for current projects.
•Support co-workers activities as required.
•Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business; MBA a plus.
•7-10 years of experience in sales or engineering within the automotive or related industry
•Ability to work well under time deadlines and pressure
•Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
