We are currently recruiting for a major Utility company in the Offshore Wind Farm sector, They are looking for a Transmission Asset Operations Manager to work on a long term contract on a major Offshore Wind Farm project.

The duration is likely to be 18 months + and will be based at the site in Newhaven, East Sussex. The Wind Farm will have 118 Turbines installed through the construction period.

Main Responsibilities

• Supporting the process for the establishment of the operations and maintenance delivery team including recruitment and training of competent personnel.
• Contributing and supporting towards the letting and management of maintenance contracts.
• Development of key site operational procedures and processes including implementation of HV Safety rules and work control processes.
• Ensure safety systems are compliant with statutory and company requirements.
• Ensure that environmental systems are compliant with statutory and company requirements.
• Key point of contact for relationships with NGT
• Development of a maintenance management system with appropriate maintenance strategies to ensure compliance and asset integrity.
• Working with the Eng TL to help prepare a long term commercial O&M offer to the future OFTO owner.
• Managing the technical handover of the asset to the future OFTO owner supporting due diligence processes.
• Identification, investigation and rectification of defects, incidents and near hits
• Delivering legal, consent and audit compliance
Role Requirements

• An Engineering degree or equivalent
• Professional registration with an appropriate professional institute;
• An extensive understanding of HV Network maintenance and operations;
• Experience of establishing the operations of new assets
• Knowledge of current legal requirements, policies and procedures which affect the management of HV Networks;
• Significant experience and HV Senior Authorised Person and Control Person
• Contract management skills to enable effective working relationships;
• Financial and commercial awareness;
• An extensive understanding of health and safety and environmental legislation and standards;
• Excellent communication skills
• The confidence to challenge established practices, suggesting imaginative solutions to problems;
• Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders;
• A proven ability to identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data and drawing appropriate conclusions;
• A working knowledge of key PC based computer systems;
• Work flexibly within a team environment & closely with other members of the business.
