We are currently recruiting for a WTG HV Commissioning Engineer to work on a major Offshore Wind Farm project. The client is a major Utility company who has an extensive portfolio of Offshore Wind Farm projects in Europe.
This role is based in Esbjerg, Denmark and is around 12 months in duration.
Directly reportable to the Wind Turbine Commissioning Manager.
Responsible for witnessing and reporting, electrical commissioning activities associated with the WTG 33kV Switchgear, Transformer, Turbine Controller, & associated SCADA testing of 116 x 3.45 MW Vestas Offshore Wind Turbines as applicable.
Witness the installation, routing and cleating of HV transformer tower cable and WTG pre-terminated drop down array cables.
Support the general inspection and walk down of all components at pre-assembly as required
Work closely with and provide support to the Wind Turbine Commissioning Manager & Pre Assembly site manager to identify and rectify: safety, installation, quality and reliability issues.
Provide commissioning daily and weekly progress reports, compile test matrix/identifying any variance to agreed plan as required..
Review and comment on commissioning programmes and Inspection and Test Plans in advance of contractors commissioning activities.
Agree suitable testing strategies and test outcomes to ensure an acceptable level of confidence prior to transportation offshore
Review and comment on; technical drawings, electrical schemes, quality plans, as applicable.
Ensure contractor compliance to agreed programmes and strategies.
Ensure the contractor quality plans and commissioning files are correctly populated.
Review and sign off on behalf of the client, commissioning test results, protocols and test sheets.
High Voltage Commissioning Engineer with experience of commissioning onshore or offshore wind farms or 33kV & 11kV Distribution Network equipment
Will consider DNO or Private Network electrical engineers/commissioning engineer with good experience in the commissioning of HV & LV switchgear, transformers, o/c & e/f protection & SCADA.
Would suit an electrical engineer with experience of onshore renewable projects wishing to transfer skills to offshore wind
Fluent in English
Available to work weekdays and weekends, shift patterns, where required.
Proficient in use of computers
GWO WAH, Fire Awareness and Manual Handling
