In this role, the qualified candidate will be joining a well-established team that specializes in environmental work within the construction field. If you have a passion for working in the outdoors in a construction environment, then this is the perfect role for you.

The selected candidate’s day-to-day responsibilities will include directing environmental protection activities, supervising soil salvage, creating/implementing Environmental Protection Plans, and responding to environmental emergencies on site. Further to this, they will be involved with pre-construction bird sweeps, water quality monitoring, marine mammal observation, regulating construction site erosion, sediment control, etc.

Qualifications:
• B.Sc. in biology, forestry, environmental science, or related post-secondary education
• 5+ years of experience as an environmental monitor in similar industry
• Should have P.Biol., R.P.Bio., or equivalent registration
• Should have knowledge and experience of construction site erosion, sediment control measures and BMPs, marine mammal observation, fish salvage, amphibian salvage, bird sweeps, etc.
