The Opportunity

Our client, an industry leader in the General Contracting Industry is seeking a Recruiter to join their team in Toronto, ON! You would be at work within a growing company with offices across Canada, with a fantastic team of talented professionals in the heavy civil and infrastructure sector. This is a full-time permanent position in a stable and growing organization.

As a Recruiter, reporting to the VP, Human Resources you will provide guidance to the project teams in executing the recruitment plans, social media platforms while thoroughly understanding the business and its needs. The ideal candidate would have previous or similar understanding of the industry, with a strong desire to make a lasting impression in an innovative organization.

Responsibilities
This individual will support the human resources team in searching and matching qualified candidates to organizational needs within a high volume environment. They will also be responsible for screening, interviewing, and providing reference checks to qualified candidates in addition to posting online job descriptions while maintaining employee records, files and applications through the applicant tracking system. In addition, your role will prepare offer letters, orientation packages and the ability to ensure a great candidate experience.

Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work history
• Previous experience in heavy civil construction is preferred
• Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant employment legislation & best practices
• Pasion for recruitment and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Microsoft Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS, ADP – Workforce Now.
