We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist.to support the company’s accounting department.
Requirements / Must haves:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable
• Minimum 1 year of experience with general ledger
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Prior experience with ERP systems preferred
• Prior experience with SAP and Concur a plus
• Able to work independently as well as be a strong team member
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Job Duties:
• Work closely with individuals at all levels of the Company to ensure timely and appropriate processing of invoices and payments in accordance with Company policies and procedures
• Verify coding, approvals, and supporting documentation before inputting supplier invoices into the ERP system
• Analyze invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment
• Maintain vendor files
• Research and resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoices, payments, and debit memos
• Respond to all vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check payments
• Apply supplier payments in ERP system
• Perform monthly closing procedures for accounts payable, including month-end accruals
• Manage the Company’s expense reimbursement system and provide training to employees as it pertains to both the utilization of the system as well as compliance with Company reimbursement policies and limits
• Manage the Company’s corporate credit cards and ensure all expenses are properly reconciled
• Prepare journal entries related to both expense reimbursements and credit card expenses
• Update/maintain accounts payable procedures
• Help implement process improvements and efficiencies
• Process annual 1099 filings and mailings
• Assist with audits and special projects as needed
