In this very exciting role, the qualified candidate will be reporting into the Civil Construction Manager, will be a part of the Project Site Team, and will be in charge of all on-site construction activities on a daily basis. Some duties include taking the lead on productivity issues and monitoring work performance of employees to ensure project plans are followed and project is executed effectively within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of a construction plan
- Manage subcontractor activities
- Assure construction compliance with design requirements
- Supervise and coordinate field engineering and construction activities
- Assure compliance with project construction schedule budgets and assume responsibility for the commissioning of project systems
- Ensure project materials and workmanship meets the project Quality Standards
Qualifications:
- A construction related or engineering degree
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil industry
- 5 years of construction site supervisory experience within heavy concrete operations
- Ability to evaluate trade performance is essential
