Buyer

Buyer- location: Hamina, Finland

We currently seek a high caliber Buyer to work on a contract basis for long term duration within the Supply Chain Team. Based in Hamina, Finland, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) companies to the Oil, Ga, Lifescience and Petrochemical sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serves as Buyer on a large scale data center construction project
• Plans, organizes, directs and controls the project material management/procurement function
• Maintains responsibility for the material management function on his/her project from proposal preparation through project close-out
• Involved ‘hands-on’ with the bidding, conditioning, negotiation and award of (critical) purchase orders

Proven Experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience in procurement (preferably including actual ‘hands-on’ purchasing gradually developed into responsibility for larger purchase orders (POs)
• Experience in working with expediting, inspection and logistics specialists
• Knowledgeable of the EPC process and procurement roles, responsibilities and interfaces with engineering

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree
• Knowledgeable of the industry and related supplier markets for material & equipment
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Commercial acumen
