We currently seek a Senior Chemical Engineer to work in South Korea. This is a contract role, 10 months in duration and starting in Jan 2019.
You will be working on a huge construction project, building a very large manufacturing plant. We are ideally seeking someone who has experience working in the Semiconductor sector but we will look favourably on candidates with a background within Oil & Gas.
Design documents to be reviewed includes the following;
Installation specification of chemical pipeline and each chemical system
List of (HPM) chemicals and its compatibility between chemicals and with pipe materials
Chemical system design (PFD, P&ID, Equipment Layout)
Purchasing spec' and/or Supplier's spec' of Chemical supply, transfer and blending systems
Owner's standards (ESH standard, PMS regulation and Emergency response procedure)
Relevant Korean code and/or guideline (Kosha, KS etc.)
Any other documents designated by the owner
Chemical systems to be inspected includes the following;
ACQC / Supply System (Acid, Alkali, Solvent, Slurry, Waste liquid treatment Systems)
Charge / Transfer System (Acid transfer system / Acid, Alkali, Solvent, Waste liquid pumps)
Blending / Mixing System (Acid, Alkali systems)
VMB / CIB Systems
Auxiliary Systems (Safety shower, waste liquid collecting system, Di sink etc.)
nonconformance and recommendation report
Identify and report major shortcomings in design documents and installed chemical system
Academic and Professional Background
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in related field
- Minimum 10 years of extensive Chemical Engineering experience in the sector of Semiconductor, Oil & Gas or High-tech Industry. PE preferred
- Adjust to varying demands of work and performance
- Develop and present work in well-constructed written and verbal presentations in English. Clearly conveys messages and ideas, gains understanding.
