To qualify for the role, the ideal candidate will have at least 10 years proven working experience in a Senior Technical Telecommunication position and Masters/Post Graduate studies in Telecommunication Engineering in together with excellent knowledge of the latest industry’s trends and techniques. In addition to being an excellent communicator and strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• The Chief Technology Officer leads team of Information Technology Staff.
• Responsible for building the IT framework, policy and safeguards of a business unit.
• in charge of setting up the IT guidelines in structural management for the entire IT infrastructure which involve computers, peripheral devices, telecommunications, servers, internet and all data centers.
• Ensures that the IT vision is synchronized with the company business directive and is the primary decision maker in ensuring that the technology standards of the company will be able to provide its technical requirements.
• The CTO makes sure that all telecommunications and technology of the company are functioning for optimal workforce productivity.
• The CTO is the chief of an IT department and is in charge of advising corporate senior management about the need for timely updates in IT.
• Manage, supervise and provide technical advice on systems
• Receive feedback, identify the Internet communication market needs and requirements and mobilize existing technology to meet the trending demands.
• Document plans, requests, activities and specifications and program features, design networks and systems and allocate resources as necessary
• Evaluate systems performance and infrastructure capacity level and improve capabilities as needed
• Contribute to purchasing process of electronic equipment by setting the right specification and prepare budgetary justifications in line with industry’s standards and best practices
Requirements(Person Specifications):
- Masters/Post Graduate studies in Telecommunication Engineering or relevant field.
- 10 years proven working experience in a Senior Technical Telecommunication position.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Good understanding of management practices and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
