Civil Designer

TRS Staffing Solutions has future opportunities for Civil Designers to work for a Leader in engineering consulting in Vancouver.

The successful candidate should be able to:
• Review drawings, and vendor equipment documentation of basic to moderate complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
• Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• A minimum of five years combined education and directly related experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Demonstrated knowledge of civil site grading, cut and fill, underground utilities and water management catchment systems (storm and sanitary)

Requirements:
• Accredited one (1) or two (2) year degree or diploma in Civil Engineering Drafting and Technology or global equivalent in technical field of study
• 5-10 years industry experience (Industrial - oil & gas, mining, infrastructure)
• At least 3 years InRoads design software eperience
