$DOE, Composite Technician, Long Beach, CA DIRECT HIRE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Layup elastomer parts using elastomers, fabrics, metal inserts, and prepregs.
Use hand tools, measurement devices, and equipment to perform production operations.
Complete assignments in a timely manner.
Understand and adhere to all policies and procedures, including the Quality Management System.
Understand and adhere to all environmental health and safety guidelines including all safety policies and posted signs.
Always work in a safe manner - consistent with our client's policies and procedures. Always correct an unsafe situation or report it to the Lead or Manufacturing Operations Manager if an unsafe situation is found. Always wear the required personal protective equipment.
Be able to read and understand process routers and travelers.
Follow all written instructions, work instructions, travelers and procedures.
Maintain proper part identification and traceability.
Sign off production records, travelers and logs as work is completed.
Ensure that ALL material used in deliverable products is within its shelf-life. Log and record material traceability information on travelers.
Perform visual in process inspection of product and segregate non-conforming product from production. Immediately report discrepancies, quality problems and non-conformances to the Lead, Inspectors, Engineers, or Management.
Maintain and care for tools, molds, machines and equipment. Use tools for their intended purposes.
Return all tools and materials to their designated storage space when not in use.
Maintain the order and cleanliness of production work areas, ensuring that all tools, materials and supplies are returned to their designated locations.
Participate in and contribute to process improvement, lean manufacturing and other initiatives. Recommend process improvements to the Lead, Project Engineer or Manager.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Assist as required or assigned throughout the facility.
