"TTRS is looking for a Construction 1st Assistant who reports directly to Construction Manager and with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as 1st Assistant Superintendent/Barge Foreman on board Pipelay and Heavy Lifting Vessels and with good English Knowledge to join our international client's project team Onboard Saipem Endeavour Vessel based Worldwide."

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Coordinate work and manpower on board for the assigned shift in compliance with Project specification, in order to ensure efficient performance and respecting HSE and Quality procedures and practices.
• Assist the Offshore Construction Manager with regard to interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board.
• Supervise the team of foremen and supervisors, with regard to the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work, in order to comply with the quality and safety standard,
• Coordinate the construction activities during the shift and optimise all production phases.
• Ensure that the Offshore Construction Manager is kept fully informed of potential problems and construction status.
• Liaise with Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer and Vessel Equipment Engineer in order to ensure preventive maintenance and construction activities.
• Liaise with subcontractors' supervisors to optimize production.
• Solve matters related to coordination, priority and interface between the different disciplines in order to meet the scopes of the project.
• Ensure that the Permit-to-Work system for construction crew is adhered to and ensures that the daily Tool Box Talks and JSA, if required, are carried out according to the procedures.
• Motivate all construction crew/subcontractors with regards to health, safety and environment awareness.
• Ensure the compliance with the standards dictated by Saipem QHSE policies and safety procedures, in order to perform the activities in a safe manner.
• Report incidents and near-miss events.
• Manage the Crane operations, including coordination with the Chief Mate for main crane movements on board, ROV launching and underwater operations
• Assist marine operations if required.
• Provide a construction report at the end of each shift.
• Assist the Vessel Field Engineer in the follow up of project equipment and consumable, operation and monitoring of the stinger and JLT.
• Ensure the rigging gear used is within date and properly marked.
• Report to the Offshore Construction Manager

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Good English knowledge is MANDATORY
• Accredited University degree in technical discipline is a Plus.
• Experience of minimum 5 years as 1st Assistant Superintendent/Barge Foreman on board Pipelay and heavy lifting vessels
