SUMMARY
This is a project based position reporting to the Project Quality Manager. The Construction Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections of Contractor’s work and generating timely inspection reports that accurately detail findings, data, and inspection results
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor and inspect contractor activities for compliance to applicable codes, standards, and specifications
• Perform audits and surveillances of quality systems and contractor activities
• Create reports to document inspections performed
• Review and approve contractor inspection and test plans, quality plans, quality manuals, and audit plans
• Perform in process inspections
• Escalate quality concerns to management
• Attend contractor and project meetings
• Review and validate contractor plans, procedures, drawings, etc
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years of experience performing inspections at construction sites.
• Experience shall include electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical inspections on large projects.
• Experience shall include overseeing contractor activities.
• A technical degree, industry experience, and certifications from AISC, ACI, ANSI, API, ASME, ASTM, ASNT, AWS, ISO, NEC, IEC, NACE, or SSPC are preferred.
• Must be familiar with quality principles, applicable codes, regulations, industry standards, specifications, measuring and testing equipment, reporting, contractor oversight, inspection and test plans, site specific quality plans, quality manuals, and audit plans.
