KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS /JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position performs moderately complex engineering assignments, evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques to a broad set of complex assignments, with the following Key Performance Areas:
Perform control systems sizing calculations of control values, relief valves, flow elements, themowells and other instrumentation
Create instrument index and datasheets, generate reports and monitor design wiring and loop development activities Intergraph SmartPlan Instrumentation database
Develop intermediate complexity control systems narrative specifications
Develop control systems logic diagrams and/or cause an effect diagrams
Represent control systems in model reviews, closely monitor 3D modeling prepared by design group utilizing review software
Develop specifications and design of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) hardware and software applications, monitor DCS/PLC/SIS design developed by design group
Prepare and perform schedules, estimates, progress reports, material forecasts, meetings, procurement activities, etc.
Assist in audits
Assist, as required in the development of department standards and procedures
Utilize vendor data and work with personnel from other discipline from other disciplines as required for the performance of designs
Actively participate in, promote, and maximize the use of the Client's Knowledge Community and other available resources
Perform squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines
Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals
Actively participate in external technical seminars and self-enroll in advance management training courses
Focus on performance development input and counselling
Provide closed interface with and promote understanding of, other discipline functions
BTech / Bachelor of Science / Engineering (Control Systems)
Eight (8) years of project-related Control Systems Engineering Experience in Petrochemical environment on EPCM/EPC projects
Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
Knowledge and Experience on InTool, and other Control Systems Engineering Software.
