DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform  control  systems  sizing  calculations  for  control  valves,  relief  valves,  flow  elements, thermowells and other instrumentation.
- Create instrument index and datasheets, generate reports, and monitor design wiring and loop development activities in Intergraph  SmartPlant Instrumentation database.
- Develop intermediate complexity control systems narrative specifications.
- Develop control systems logic diagrams and/or cause and effect diagrams.
- Represent control systems in model reviews; closely monitor 3D modeling prepared by design group utilizing review software.
- Develop specifications and design of  Distributed Control Systems (DCS),  Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)  and  Safety Instrumented  Systems (SIS) hardware  and  software applications; monitor DCS/PLC/SIS design developed by the design group.
- Knowledge of International Industry Codes and Standards project.
- Knowledge of statutory design requirements: cabling/wiring, conduit/tray fill and sizing
- Develop electrical specifications and design documents.
- Prepare 2D (CAD) and 3D model layouts of advance complexity,
- Must have knowledge of electrical power systems software e.g. Electrical Transient Analysis Program ETAP), PDS and Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL).
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Accredited two (2) years BSc. Degree (Control Systems).
- 12+ years of Instrumentation and Control Systems work-related experience within Petrochemical Industry on EPCM projects a MUST.
- ECSA recognized professional certification and/or registration in the applicable field.

KNOWLEDGE:

- Knowledge and Experience on InTools, and other Control Systems Engineering Systems.
