The Opportunity

Our client, an industry leader in the planning and design of prominent infrastructure projects within the commercial, industrial and institutional sector. The company is looking to hire a Director of Mechanical Engineering to join their team.


• Leading and managing a team of multidisciplinary engineers including planning for future resources and group needs
• Identifying and securing new business opportunities within the Mechanical Engineering group with an emphasis on large commercial projects
• Overseeing the engineering and design of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Sytems, etc. on key projects
• Building positive relationship with internal and external clients to establish and maintain positive and healthy working relationships
• Scheduling, estimation and completion of all projects on time and within budget
• Outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills


• Ideally the candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in the design, estimation, budgeting, contract management and project management of mid to large size projects ($100M+) on multi-stakeholders infrastructure projects
• Professional Engineer Licensed to practice in British Columbia
• Previous experience in new build and design build experience would be a definite asset
