Our client is seeking a Division Finance Manager to join their team of professionals. This position is based in Garden Grove, CA
Summary of position:
The Division Finance Manager oversees all aspects of the accounting function for the assigned division/business unit. In addition, this position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information to support decision making.

Requirements / Must haves:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent; MBA preferred
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP
• Strong understanding of construction accounting and industry dynamics
• Able to influence and lead a team to expected outcomes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate across all levels.
• Able to analyze and resolve complex issues with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Process orientation with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Job Duties:
• Participates in the month end closing responsibilities, including General ledger and Job Cost reconciliations, WIP reports, and bank reconciliations.
• Reviews monthly budgets and forecasts, as well as prepares financial analysis for the Executive Leadership Team, including partnering with Division Controllers, Corporate Leaders, and finance managers to obtain additional information as needed for reporting.
• Communicates monthly analysis to the leadership team while providing them further support as requested.
• Responsible for the Strategic Operating Plan (Fiscal Year Budget) consolidation for all entities of Southland while working with the CFO to develop company financial goals.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices, and current and proposed legislation and regulation; recommends changes to policies and procedures to ensure compliance and promote best practices.
