Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Fluor Industrial Services are part of the TRS Staffing Solutions group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to work for our market-leading client who is looking for an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician on a long term Contract basis. You will form part of a multi discipline team that are expected to carry out various works to a high quality and safety standard.

Work location: Offshore platform and FPSO, Equatorial Guinea.
Work rotation: 7 weeks working/5 weeks’ field break.
Start date: June 2021

Role Duties
• Carry out a variety of preventative and corrective maintenance work on instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Install and replace equipment.
• Trouble-shoot breakdowns, diagnose faults and execute repairs. Refers problems to the Supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping at work site and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulation.
• Perform other similar or related duties such as participating in safety drills and firefighting, reporting any abnormalities or hazards near work site, providing ‘back to back' with information on any problems or outstanding maintenance works etc.

Qualifications
• Completion of formal instrumentation/electrical/electronic training or qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in oil industry instrumentation/electrical/electronic maintenance.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English. Spanish language would be advantageous but not essential.
