My client are urgently looking for an Electrical Engineer for our sites in South East, starting on one of our sites in Waterford.

Duties / Responsibilities

The role is to manage the electrical sub contract package for various types of projects ranging from pharmaceutical plants to schools and offices. Our project engineers are responsible for the following:


Appraising and selecting the correct solution for the project.
Reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure they meet the requirements of all stakeholders.
Advising our site staff with regard to addressing particular technical issues as they occur.
Project Execution

Designing a coordinated plan for the execution of the works.
Liaising with the Design Team and Construction Management Teams with regard to progress and installation quality.
Monitoring progress of our installation and our subcontractors.
Developing and executing with the team a coordinated testing and commissioning plan.
Managing the handover process.

Developing with the team a procurement strategy.
Managing the equation between value for money, quality and service.
Negotiating with stakeholders to ensure best value for both the company and our clients.

Working with our commercial manager to manage the company account.
Monitoring and managing subcontractor accounts.
Assisting with evaluation of additional work orders etc.
Health & Safety

Ensuring all works are carried out as per site and legislative requirements.
Experience / Qualifications

A third level engineering qualification or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years' experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
Experience in the Building Services and Commercial sectors is essential.
