Electrical Project Engineer (HV Electrical)

We are currently looking for an Electrical Project Engineer (HV Electrical) for a role that we have available in the Dublin area. Position is with a well established M&E contractor operating across multiple disciplines.

The Project Engineer will participate with and frequently lead key aspects of projects as part of T&D project teams consisting of members from various groups and disciplines across a number of areas within the company and externally.

Responsibilities:
• Identify, undertake and manage key detailed design tasks
• Initiate and manage the sub-contracting of specialist design / studies
• Ensure that technical issues are identified and resolved without delay
• Review quotations for the supply of material to confirm adequacy and technical suitability
• Be aware of, manage and mitigate commercial risk to the company
• Process internal procurement from equipment enquiries, requisitioning & monitoring manufacture through

Requirements:
• 3rd level Qualification in Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering
• Ideally will have 2-4 years’ experience working in a power / utility sector
• Detailed knowledge of power engineering, including technical and installation requirements
• Detailed knowledge of power system operation and development
• Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures
• BEng Engineering (appropriate course content)
