Short Role description:
• Responsible for the design, implementation, test and customer-site start-up of control, information and automation systems working in a project team environment.

Reporting structure:
• Team leader, supervisor or manager.

Experience required for Professional Level:
• 1-2 years' experience in systems engineering related to information or automation systems. (Advantageous)
• Conversant with MS Office software products Excel, Access, Word, etc
• Experience in conducting system field start-up activities. (Advantageous)

Required education:
• Bachelors/BTech degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge, industry application knowledge
• Local language skills, plus excellent English language (verbal and written)

Overview
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
• Must have excellent conflict resolution skills.
• Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays to meet customer project commitments.
• Must perform duties in the office or outside the office as part of a project team.
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial plants, mines, etc., which may require climbing, working in confined spaces and other unusual work environments.

Functional
• Provides updates to lead engineer / project manager pertaining to status of activities, performance to schedule and performance to budget for self and other less-experienced engineers.
• May assist in proposal development activities.
• Performs system design, implementation and start-up as part of a project team.

Interpersonal
• Supports an environment conducive to successful team interaction, mentorship and learning.
• Interacts with Lead Engineer, Project Management, hardware design, purchasing, and assembly personnel in support of project efforts.
• Obtains product technical information from other business units of RA as required.

Leadership
• May lead contractors on project assignments.

Business
• Responsible for meeting project schedule, engineering hours budgets, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Builds partnerships at a technical level of key customers.
• Should be commercially aware of the impact to the business of selecting and developing the project design and implementation
• May present and develop technical aspects of sales proposals to customers.
• Responsible for following all applicable corporate, company, governmental and regulatory policies and procedures as appropriate for this position.
• Expected to deliver a number of sales opportunities and leads through direct involvement with customers, during a project and post implementation
• Responsible for delivering projects that meet the quality systems of the customer and the business unit
