We currently seek an experienced Engineering Manager to work on a permanent basis with one of the world's largest oil and gas EPC's. Due to considerable increased workloads and internal movements, our client is in the position to hire externally for this attractive role.

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

A proven track record as an Engineering Manager in major oil and gas EPC projects
Dynamic leadership style, being prepared to push the boundaries when necessary
Strong technical skills and a background in the Oil & Gas Sector with experience in upstream, downstream, and petrochemical sectors.
Experience of Lump Sum projects

Responsibilities will include:

Serves as Engineering Manager on assigned projects and develops the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline engineering work.
Duties include but are not limited to: develops and updates job plans, supports proposal and estimate activities, develops and reviews specifications including design criteria, develops and monitors schedules, develops and monitors manpower estimate forecasts, assigns work to teams, monitors material estimates and quantities, interfaces with project disciplines/client representatives/construction, participates in equipment and material procurement activities, permitting activities and subcontracting activities
Reviews specifications, drawings, and vendor equipment documentation from both within the discipline as well as from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements and actively seeks resolution of issues, or non-conformance
Serves as Supervising Lead providing guidance/supervision to other leads and functions as mentor to less experienced engineers

Job requirements

The candidate must have:

Extensive Engineering Management experience in the EPC/EPCM industry.
Lead Discipline Engineering and Discipline Management experience
Construction site experience
Experience of extensively modularised projects, ideally with fabrication yard experience
Experience of lump sum Projects
Experience of international distributed engineering
An accredited Bachelors or Masters degree, or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject
Be a Chartered Engineer with an Accredited Engineering Institution
Must have previous management experience within a corporate environment.
Must have suitable experience working on projects valued at $1 billion Total Installed Cost or greater
