Environmental Programs Manager

Our client, a leading EPCM with projects worldwide, is seeking a Environmental Programs Manager to join their team in Kitimat, BC. The role reports to the Site Environmental Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Review and understand the Construction Environmental Management Plans and associated Environmental Management Plans as they relate to reporting and environmental programs.
- Lead tap root investigations for environmental incidents when required.
- Support execution contractor with investigations of environmental incidents.
- Participate in the compliance monitoring program, through field inspections and focus assessments.
- Develop and conduct compliance audits.
- Perform and participate in Environmental Hazard Assessments.
- Prepare statistical dashboards for trending analysis.
- Develop environmental communication for site wide distribution.
- Prepare department reports in accordance with the project and permit requirements.
- Conduct general environmental awareness sessions.
- Works independently and in a cross disciplinary team environment.
- Interacts and interfaces with client’s environmental team.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or diploma in HSE Management Systems, business administration or equivalent.
- Five (5-10) years experience in similar role.
- Experience conducting program compliance audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Knowledge and understanding of environmental management systems and programs
- Proficient in report writing, conducting field inspections and sampling programs.
