Estimator/Senior Cost Engineer

Role: Estimator/Senior Cost Engineers
Salary: £40-75,000 + Benefits, depending on experience
Location: Bristol

We have exciting opportunities for Estimator/Senior Cost Engineers to join our client's team in the Southwest.
You will be working on major Government, MOD, Nuclear and Naval programs so either be SC or have the ability to get SC.

The Estimators/Cost Engineer role is to assess, assure and provide insightful analysis of engineering projects to enable robust decision making and delivery of value to stakeholders. You will lead assurance on projects valued in excess of £100M

The successful candidates will be responsible for evaluating, recommending and implementing cost engineering improvement initiatives. This includes developing base line bottom-up and top down estimates to meet project control/forecasting/finance requirements, developing cashflows, performing maturity assessments and detailed earn value management.

Key responsibilities will include:
Production of independent cost and schedule estimates
Providing pricing and costing advice covering a variety of projects.
Performance of maturity
Assessment of Prime Contractor and Subcontractor bid proposals and provision of support to negotiation.
Lead the estimating process to ensure deliverables are produced in a timely and effective manner;

To be considered for this role you will have:
Experience of Estimating and/or cost planning.
Skilled in apprising management and client for the quality and risks of conceptual and detailed estimates
Excellent skill in oral and written communication with demonstrated skill to make effective presentations to management and client.

It is essential that you are experienced and familiar in the setting up and the use of package estimating software and possess a strong understanding of planning, earned value, progress measurement, cost and change control during pre and post contract.
