Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a Facilities and Common Services Planner! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. This opportunity boasts longevity, and a great work-life balance rotation of 14/7.

In this role, the qualified candidate will be reporting to the Temporary Facilities Lead. Some duties include developing detailed plans for site temporary facility installation, designing site plans in AutoCAD for facility placement and creating design sketches for minor carpentry works.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develops schedules and monitors contractor activities for facility installation, furniture installation, moves and changes
- Created scopes of work, design sketches and execution plans for any facility modifications or other small scale projects
- Assemble technical information and drawings on major building systems and maintaining changes
- Develop design concepts and space standards as required
- Ensures project priorities for safety, cost, quality and schedule are accurately conveyed to the Site Services Management Team
- Provides input to proposals relative to constructability. Evaluates the effectiveness of project constructability programs
- Support the Site Wide Service department with all scopes of work as needed
- Coordinates labour, materials, and other resources to carry out construction activities in accordance with the IFC plans and specifications
- Coordinates with other site construction groups and manages any interface issues to support work as required
- Ensures project priorities for safety, cost, quality and schedule are accurately conveyed to the Site Services Management Team
- Manages site laydown and land use process; reviewing land use requests for conflicts with
existing land use agreements, finding alternate solutions if required, and issuing land use permits
- Provides backshift support to Facilities Maintenance Lead, overseeing work in the field
- Manage the Site Facilities plan to ensure capacity for allocated scopes of work
- Reports Daily activities, reviews and approves contractor daily reports and LEMS

Qualifications:
- 10 years of modular building experience
- 5 years of practical experience with project planning
- Proficient with project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project
- FMP certification is preferred
- Autodesk Certified User for AutoCAD experience is preferred
- CET or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience with construction, technical and engineering activities on large scale projects
- Highly organized with the ability to plan and prioritize many projects simultaneously
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent computer literacy and skills in MS Office Suite required
- Knowledge of the concepts, methods, standards and practices of the construction industry
