The Role:
My client is looking for a Technical Account Manager to join their team in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global leader in their sector. This role is an excellent opening for anyone with a Biomedical/Biochemical background who really sees the value in their work but perhaps wants to get out of the lab and engage with different people and organisations. Furthermore, this role comes with a great deal of autonomy, with clear reporting lines and multiple routes of progression.

I am looking for someone with a Biomed, biochem, biomedical scientist or military background who understands haematology and complex diagnostic equipment, who is highly self-motivated and driven.

There will be an extensive training programme in Spain as well as mentoring back in the UK. The area you will be expected to cover includes London and the Home Counties which include some of their largest accounts.

Key Accountabilities:
You will be working in the Diagnostic department, one of the three main sectors in the company. They provide diagnostic products that improve disease detection and management. Additional uses include; prevention, screening, diagnosis and prognosis of disease and treatment monitoring.

Responding to customer inquiries at a site or via telephone

Customer site evaluations, upgrades of hardware or software, product installations, preventive maintenance

Openly communicate with relevant groups within the organisation to get a quick resolution to issues raised by customers

Document translation and verification

Root cause analysis

Training new members of staff

Minimum Requirements:

Engineering degree (STEM) or electronics certification training

Excellent communication skills (English reading, writing, speaking)

2 year's experience operating complex diagnostic equipment in a lab/medical environment

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of GMP, ISO and other certifying agency policies and regulations
