Plan, coordinate, process and coordinate the activities of tool crib to insure operations are running smoothly and on schedule.
Identify and reconcile all inventory variances
Monitor and review processes and policies and assist Operations Manager in improving these in support of organizational goals. Provide recommendations to management for changes to policies and procedures that will improve efficiency and effectiveness of Company transactions
Coordinate replenishment of stock/inventory per guidelines
Ensure purchase orders are placed correctly and in a timely manner
Direct and coordinate physical inventory count with warehouse personnel on regular basis
Review, complete, return vendor Reps & Certs
Coordinate corrective action for Quality problems - both internally and externally
Maintain all inventory management and purchasing records for traceability
Ensure all equipment is regularly maintained and calibrated
Review and clear all vendor invoices for payment, shipping docs for billing & continuous reconciliations of inventory
Drive all aspects of order fulfillment throughout the process•Works cross-functionally with the Sales and Service teams to accomplish goals
Closely monitor and oversee all aspects of supply chain for the location
Develops and implements Operations policy within the Inventory management and purchasing processes. Submits changes to management for approval.
Define, develop and recommend performance objectives in each area of cognizance
Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates
Drive supplier performance to meet customer needs
Expedite parts and to meet developed estimated completion dates
Expedite parts through other departments to break any hold factor in support of late part delivery
Expedite material from the receiving dock, stock rooms and buyers in support of late part delivery and deliver to using department
Maintain weekly visibility on tool shortages•Control of non-conforming material / return to inventory
Expedite off-site Equipment and Tooling processing•
his position is responsible for adherence to all safety rules and regulations•Utilize tools and technology provided in an effective and efficient manner•Willing to attend on-going training to further professional development•Ensure communication with customers, suppliers, vendors and co-workers are professional and appropriate.•Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime weekends and work well with others•Fit for duty in clean and presentable manner•Able to travel within and outside of the continental US•Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
Qualifications/Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of the job.
Education -
•Required High school diploma or equivalent
Experience -
•Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in Precision tooling, Turbine/Generator Repair Tools,Accounting, Inventory and Purchasing
Language Skills –
•Ability to read, write and speak in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with groups of managers, clients, customers, vendors and the public
Skills and Abilities –
•Excellent math, verbal/written communication skills and attention to details
•Ability to multi-task and use of judgement to solve problems
•Extraordinary safety focus both on the road and off
•Ability to perform routine duties involving use of various procedures and applications to clearly prescribed standard practices
•Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
Technology, Tools, and Equipment –
•Computer, Telephone, various hand tools, both power and manual
Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations –
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
•Transport: Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lbs
•Stationary/Move/Traverse/Ascend/Descend/Bend/Pull/Pushing/Move/Inspect: Must be able to drive and move about all work sites
•Touch/Grasp/Feel: Must be able to manipulate all office and minimal shop components
•Working Conditions: Office/Shop environment
Supervisory Responsibilities:
•This position has limited direct supervisory responsibilities but often functions as an indirect supervisor with functional authority.
