Position Summary:
Oversees the financial activities of the business and is responsible for the accounts of the organization. Responsible for developing the organization’s financial plan, preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate financial records for tax-related purposes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Ensure timely, accurate and adequate execution of financial administration processes.
• Prepare and post receipts, deposits, purchase orders, invoices, refunds, and other standard bookkeeping tasks.
• Review and process reimbursements.
• Prepare, track, and reconcile ledgers, budgets and intercompany transactions.
• Manage and execute accounts payable.
• Manage and execute accounts receivable.
• Create and update spreadsheets of daily transactions.
• Create monthly, quarterly and annual financial comparative analyses.
• Develop and streamline operational efficiencies.
• Stay current with all regulations, requirements, and laws.
• Interface with and coordinate new client setup in SAP.
• Contact delinquent accounts.
• Identify and correct miscalculations and financial discrepancies.
• Responding to relevant telephone, post and email enquiries.
• Manage shop employee timesheets.
• Perform facilities upkeep duties such as managing cleaning services, stocking office supplies, etc.
Minimum Education/Training/ Experience:
• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or similar.
• Proven work experience as a financial administrator or similar.
• Practical experience with accounting software, spreadsheets and databases.
• Able to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes.
• A solid understanding of bookkeeping procedures including crediting and debiting appropriate accounts, posting entries to ledger accounts, and reconciling accounts.
• Works well in a team environment and with upper management.
• High level of critical thinking and logical analysis.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbal and written.
• Able to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines.
