Geotechnical Engineer

Our client, a mining company, is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Northern British Columbia. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with managing geotechnical programs on mining projects along with prioritizing health and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be overseeing the geotechnical programs, conveying information on design recommendations, and providing technical design analysis. Further to this, they will be involved with geotechnical data collection, conducting audits, and supervising work as it relates to the geotechnical scope.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related education in Mining and Geological Engineering
- 5+ years of experience within a similar capacity
- Should have BC Mine Supervisor Certificate
- P.Eng designation is a must
- Outstanding communication skills– written and verbal
