Here is an exciting opportunity to join our client located in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a Hazardous waste program manager! You would be at work within an environmental and industrial services company alongside a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. In this role, the qualified candidate is part of a team building world-class projects that support the execution and continuous improvement of a client’s environmental management program.

Job Duties:
• Enforces health and safety standards by following policies, processes, and acting safely at all times.
• Allocates daily responsibilities of the onsite environmental crew.
• Delivers feedback and communicates with Technical Services upon request, including data capture, site review, and delivery of training content if needed.
• Completes facility-wide compliance audits to include inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping is maintained, and material is properly packaged, profiled, and labeled before shipment
• Source new and alternative disposition options for client waste streams

Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in B.S. in Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have 3+ years of environmental experience running a hazardous waste program
• Must know environmental regulations (local, provincial, and federal)
• Previous managerial experience in areas of budgeting, planning, coordinating, training, and supervision would all be considered an asset.
